Stretching before running?

You should always stretch AFTER you've done a warm up. Never stretch cold muscles. Do a 5-minute walk at a moderate pace or a mild 3-minute run and then stretch. Also, stretches should be sustained, as in don't bounce when you're stretching. Just hold the stretch; you should be comfortable and you should be breathing. Hold each stretch for about 30 seconds. You should repeat, but as you think stretching makes you too loose, just try doing one set at first. Also, remember R-I-C-E to help that wonky muscle. Good luck!
