Y do u still love a person for over 10 years, eventhough ur not getting loved back?

I have been there for her each and everytime she needed me. She really knows how i feel about her and believes in me. but y is she not giving me an answer? she said not to worry and have patience. I suffer alot bcs of this, is this how love feels? pls i need support from u guys
