If Sarah Palin is a devout Christian, why was she not at home looking after her husband?

What gives you the idea that a devout Christian is supposed to stay home and look after the husband? Submissiveness does not mean slavery. The woman is to be a help mate. The man is to be the preserver of the woman and the children.
