What is the pont of the DS game: Kirby, Canvas Curse?

Hi, my friend decided to sell his old DS lite, and since i have a DS he gave me a few of his old games- one of which was Kirby; Canvas Curse. I started this game and realize that it doesnt have a storyline... or anything like that.. why is it called Canvas Curse? wheres the canvas? wheres the curse? WHATS GOING ON? WHY IS KIRBY A ROLLING BALL?! although it is an entertaining game- id like to know what the hell is going on. it seems like i started a new game and it just went straight to lvl 1 without any little clips or anything about what the hell was happening.
