So confused on what to do w/ my bf?

My boyfriend and I have been together nearly 7 years.. i'm his first and hes my 2nd.. were only 24.. We got into a fight b/c i went out drinking for the first time (i was never a big drinker) i got drunk and stayed at a hotel w/ my friends.. Nothing happen w/ any guy.. my bf knew we were gong to stay at a hotel hes Just mad that i got drunk and was worried something may have happen or could have happen.. but nothing did.; hes very upset and i understand -we took a break lat night-- its hard though because i kind of do want to see other people, but i don't its not that important but i don't want to regret down the line i never did what i wanted to do.. we also have a 2 year old together so it makes this even tougher.. he stayed at a friends while i stayed at our apt w/ our son.. im just lost... because i don't know if i should just get back together or continue this.. hes a excellent guy and couldn't ask for better im scared ill loose the best thing ie ver had.
